The opening scene that I'm going to do is Saturday Night Fever (1977) featuring John Travolta. I usually like musical movies like this one - Grease, Repo etc. But then there are always terrible movies in each Genre e.g. Flashdance.

Great that you have chosen your opening sequence and also good that you brought it in to watch over and over again. But you need to get your first post completed ASAP. This first post should include a detailed description of what happens in the opening scene, how it fits into the movie as a whole and why it appeals to you. Then you will be on track to start your second post about how the director has used film techniques to create a mood and fit within a genre. Keep going, don't get behind!
